Henhouse Web

Privacy, in plain English

The short version of how we treat your info. Henhouse Web (henhouseweb.com) is a Christiansen Holdings LLC venture.

What we collect

When you ask for a preview, the form collects: your business name, your current website address (if you have one), what you want the site to do, your name, email, phone number, the best time to reach you, and your OK to contact you. We also note when you sent it, the page you sent it from, any campaign tags in the link, and the country your request came from (for spam checks). If you use your private chat page, we keep the messages you send there.

Why

Only to build the private preview you asked for, talk with you about it, and help you if you decide to sign up. We look at your business's own public website and listings to build the preview.

Where it's stored

Your request and chat messages are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database that runs this site. A copy of your request is emailed to our own inbox so we can respond. Nobody else gets it.

How long we keep it

If we don't end up working together, we take your preview down after 30 days. We keep your request record so we know we've talked and so we honor any "stop." Ask us to delete it anytime (see below).

No selling, no sharing

We never sell or share your info. Your preview is private: only you get the link, and it's never posted or indexed.

Saying stop, or asking us to delete your info

Reply "stop" to any message and we'll stop contacting you. To have your request, chat and preview deleted, email hello@henhouseweb.com.

The hen chat

If you use "Put me on your site" in the Helper Hen chat, we keep what you type there (name, business, email, and phone and website if you add them) plus your answers to a few short questions, so Aaron can get back to you. On other sites, the hen may offer a short "want one of me?" form: just an email or phone number, your OK to be contacted, and (only if you enter a phone number and tick it) your OK to receive texts. It's stored in the same Cloudflare D1 database and emailed to our inbox.

Anonymous question counts

We count which questions people ask the hen, anonymously: the site, the question (with emails, phone numbers and other numbers removed), and the hour. No IP address, cookies or IDs. We use the counts to improve the answers and keep them for up to 180 days.

Cookies and trackers

None. This site has no ad pixels, no analytics scripts and no tracking cookies. Our Helper Hen character saves a couple of settings in your browser (like whether you closed her tips, and which suggested questions you've already seen) so she doesn't keep asking. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
